Kanjidon transforms kanji study into an epic adventure, where every symbol is a card to collect and every quiz a challenge to win. It's an app that combines gamification and learning, with a spaced repetition system (SRS) that locks kanji into your long-term memory. Open packs, tackle dynamic quizzes, follow lessons, and track your progress with detailed statistics.
Yes! You can use Kanjidon for free with all basic features. Free users can open up to 3 packs per day and access the "Decide" quiz unlimited times. The Kanjidon Pass subscription unlocks 6 cards per pack, unlimited quizzes, all grammar lessons, audio pronunciation, and removes ads.
The JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) is the official exam to certify Japanese language skills. It's divided into 5 levels: N5 (beginner) to N1 (advanced). Kanjidon covers all levels with over 5000 kanji flashcards, including Kana cards for those starting from zero with hiragana and katakana.
Kanjidon uses the SM-2 algorithm, a scientifically validated spaced repetition system. It's based on decades of neuroscience research: each kanji has a score that adapts to your learning. If you answer correctly, it will be presented again after increasingly longer intervals. If you make a mistake, the interval shortens to consolidate memory.
Battles are real-time challenges against other players. You can challenge a friend locally, a random online player, or face a CPU. Each battle has 15 questions on on readings, kun readings, and meanings. Win to climb Ranks (from E to S) and earn XP for your League Leaderboard.
Yes, quizzes and flashcard study work 100% offline. PvP battles, cloud sync, and social features require an internet connection.
Kanjidon supports 21 languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Indonesian, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Hindi, Turkish, Vietnamese, Persian, Polish, Filipino, and Malay.
The Streak counts how many consecutive days you open Kanjidon. The higher it is, the more bonus Tama you receive each day (from 7 up to 50 Tama). Premium users get double. Reach milestones like 30, 60, or 365 days to unlock Shields that protect your Streak if you skip a day.
